Embroidery Workshop: Weaving and Saying No to Indifference

This October 2025 the Salvadoran Canadian Association (ASALCA) hosted a wonderful fall day of solidarity with immigrants and refugees, featuring an embroidery workshop led by artist Teresa Cruz. Participants were invited to use their imagination to explore their Canadian backgrounds while reflecting on justice for immigrants and refugees and the erosion of their rights over the years. This special event was sponsored by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Canadian Foundation for Innovation, and Western University.
